Greece Post #468 fell 9-3 to 527 on Wednesday at Rochester Institute of Technology despite out-hitting them seven to six. Derick Allen led Greece Post #468 with three hits.

527 got on the board in the top of the fourth inning after Evan Sullivan singled down the left field line, Jackson Bugg grounded out, and Greece Post #468 committed an error, each scoring one run.

Greece Post #468 tied the game in the bottom of the fourth thanks to a double by Dylan Savage, and a single by Allen.

A double by Will Hanson gave 527 the lead, 6-3, in the top of the fifth.

Ashton Putney earned the win for 527. The right-handed pitcher surrendered seven hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking three. Nathan Powers took the loss for Greece Post #468. The pitcher went four and one-third innings, allowing six runs (five earned) on three hits, striking out three and walking five.

Savage led Greece Post #468 with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Jack Kelly collected two hits for Greece Post #468 in two at bats.

Hanson provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led 527 with three runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Anthony Vicario led 527 with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting nine walks for the game. Chase Haglund stole two bases. 527 turned two double plays in the game.

Walk-Off Seals The Deal In Greece Post #468 Victory Over 527

Greece Post #468 took Wednesday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 6-5 walk-off victory over 527 at Rochester Institute of Technology. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the seventh when Tyler Cannon hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Derick Allen collected three hits in three at bats in the win. Allen hit a solo home run to right field in the sixth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the fourth inning.

527 were the first to get on the board in the first when Chase Haglund hit a solo inside the park home run.

527 added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Jackson Bugg doubled to left field, Matthew King singled down the left field line, and Ryan Forringer grounded into a double play, each scoring one run.

527 added one run in the third. Will Hanson grounded into a fielder’s choice, making the score 5-0.

Greece Post #468 tied the game in the bottom of the sixth thanks to a solo home run to right field by Allen, and a double by Nathan Brinza.

Cam Barbulean earned the win for Greece Post #468. The starter allowed three hits and five runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking two. Daniel Reese took the loss for 527. The right-handed pitcher went five innings, allowing five runs on seven hits, striking out two and walking none.

Greece Post #468 amassed nine hits in the game. Brinza and Cannon each drove in two runs for Greece Post #468. Barbulean collected two hits for Greece Post #468 in three at bats. Greece Post #468 turned one double play in the game.

Haglund, King, and Bugg each collected one hit for 527. Haglund, King, Bugg, and Hanson each drove in one run for 527. 527 turned one double play in the game. 527 didn’t commit a single error in the field. Hanson had the most chances in the field with six.
