Women’s soccer forces draw against a strong Ithaca team
ITHACA, NY – Both goaltenders shine in a defensive battle as Nazareth and Ithaca draw in a non-conference matchup.
How it Happened:
- Ithaca began the game by out shooting Nazareth 7-0 but were only able to generate two shots on goal.
- Towards the end of the first half, Nazareth found their stride generating 3 shots, with 2 being on the goalkeeper.
- Similar to the first half Ithaca came out strong and controlled play, out shooting the Golden Flyers 11-2.
- The game concluded with Ithaca leading in shots with 19 to the Golden Flyers 7. However, Nazareth had more shots on goal with 5.
- The total corners were close to even with Ithaca leading 6-4.
Game Notes:
- Carolina Lott-Diamond led the way offensively for Nazareth, generating 2 shots on goal.
- Delaney Malone recorded her second career shutout, and second of the season.
- The last time the Golden Flyers and Bombers tied 0-0 was in 2015.
