Zac's Recaps James Capellupo III: Most Single-Season Shutouts in Section V History

James Capellupo III: Most Single-Season Shutouts in Section V History

On Monday, James Capellupo of the Hilton Cadets became the first pitcher in Section V to shove seven shutouts in a single season. Not only this, but Capellupo has not let a single team record a run against him all year.

The Cadets travelled to Brighton for their second-to-last game of the season. The Bruins came into the game on a three game losing streak, while Hilton was looking to start a hot-streak going into Sectionals in the upcoming week.

James threw all seven frames, allowing just two hits, and retiring 13 hitters.

A Cadets rotation of Capellupo, Kraus, and Lenhard will look to make a scary run in Sectionals.

Hilton Next Up: vs. Greece Athena (05/17)

Brighton Next Up: @ East Rochester (05/17)
