Lakers Hold Off Clarkson for Third Win of Season
OSWEGO, N.Y. – It a matchup of early undefeated teams, Oswego State Men’s Basketball hosted Clarkson University on Tuesday evening. The Lakers managed to pull out a win in a tightly contested, high scoring affair by a final score of 92-83.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lakers had a strong first half shooting 19 for 38 while holding the visiting Golden Knights to 8 for 29 in the half.
- The Lakers were particularly strong from beyond the arch going 7 for 13 to carry a 48-31 lead into halftime.
- The second half would prove to be much more even with the Clarkson offense starting to click as the visitors would put up 52 points in the half.
- The Lakers were able to put up 44 points of their own which would be enough to hold on for a 92-83 victory despite the strong effort from Clarkson.
- The Lakers offense was once again driven by Jeremiah Sparks who led the team with 22 points on the evening.
- The Lakers put up 42 points in the paint, compared to just 14 for the Golden Knights.
- Oswego would also take advantage of Clarkson errors and score 23 points off turnovers while the Lakers managed to limit themselves to just 6 total turnovers in the game.
