Victor bounces back from game 1 defeat to split the series with Fairport GameChanger recap below

Fairport Varsity Red Raiders watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 11-2 loss to Victor on Wednesday. Victor scored on a fielder’s choice by #16 in the first inning and a single by #11 in the second inning.

The Fairport Varsity Red Raiders struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Victor, giving up 11 runs.

In the first inning, Victor got their offense started when Will Stanek induced #16 to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.

Victor scored seven runs in the sixth inning. #15, #6, #5, #16, #2, and #14 each had RBIs in the frame.

11 was the winning pitcher for Victor. The fireballer lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing seven hits and two runs while striking out seven. #16 threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Stanek took the loss for Fairport Varsity Red Raiders. The righty allowed five hits and four runs over four innings, striking out two.

Mason Broncatello, Nate Mathis, Stanek, Owen Andreatta, Jon Roessel, Jackson Rucker, and Sam Miller each collected one hit to lead Fairport Varsity Red Raiders.

Victor collected seven hits. #5 and #2 each racked up multiple hits for Victor. Victor was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. #9 made the most plays with ten.
