Nazareth Tops Elmira 46–31
ROCHESTER, NY – Nazareth Women’s Basketball (10-4, 4-1) picked up an Empire 8 victory against Elmira College (7-7, 2-3), Friday night inside Kidera Gymnasium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Nazareth and Elmira traded baskets early in the game, with neither team able to create separations through the opening quarter. The game was tied 10-10 after the first 10 minutes.
- Both offenses struggled to find rhythm in the second quarter, but Nazareth’s defensive pressure limited Elmira to just six points, allowing the Golden Flyers to take a 15-16 edge into halftime.
- Nazareth took control going into the third quarter. The Golden Flyers shot efficiently from the floor and outscored Elmira 19-10.
- Elmira attempted to rally in the fourth quarter, but Nazareth was able to prevent that from happening, closing out a 46-31 victory at the Kidera Gym.
- The match featured eight lead changes and five ties before Nazareth pulled away in the second half.

ROCHESTER, NY – Nazareth Women’s Basketball (11-4, 5-1) earned its second conference win on the weekend with a 70-51 victory over Keuka College (6-8, 1-5), on Saturday afternoon inside Kidera Gymnasium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Nazareth wasted no time taking control, opening the game with an efficient first quarter that set the tone early.
- The Golden Flyers shot 60 percent from the floor and knocked down three triples in the opening 10 minutes, building a commanding 24-8 advantage.
- Keuka settled in during the second quarter, but Nazareth maintained its momentum with balanced scoring and strong defensive pressure, heading into halftime with a 39-19 lead.
- The Wolves showed resilience coming out of the break, outscoring Nazareth in the third quarter as both teams traded baskets.
- Despite the push, the Golden Flyers’ early cushion supported them as they continued to control and limit second-chance opportunities.
- Nazareth closed the door in the fourth quarter, responding to every Keuka run with timely scoring and aggressive play in transition.
- The Golden Flyers poured in 21 points in the final period and cruised to a 70-51 victory at the Kidera Gym.
