Lakers handle the Golden Flyers on the Road
ROCHESTER, NY– The SUNY Oswego men’s basketball team traveled to Rochester, NY to take on the Nazareth Golden Flyers in a non-conference match-up on Tuesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After winning the tip-off, Ahkee Andersonwasted no time getting the Lakers on the board with a deuce in the form of a mid-range shot. Throughout the first half, the Lakers were able to score at will as they poured in 7 threes on 70% shooting from beyond the arc. The Lakers were able to mount a 14-point lead going into halftime due to their 54.8% shooting. The Laker’s defensive game plan led to offensive struggles for Nazareth, as they were only able to score 27 points in the first 20 minutes.
As the 2nd half got underway, the Lakers didn’t lose any momentum and continued the offensive barrage. Freshman Deacon Judd led the way for the Lakers with 20 points on a perfect 7-7 shooting, including four 3-pointers. The Lakers were able to control the paint as they scored 34 points in the paint. Also, the Lakers were able to beat the Golden Flyers in transition as they scored 14 points in the fast break. The Lakers coasted to an 18-point victory.

The Oswego Lakers will host the SUNY Oneonta Red Dragons on Tuesday, December 3rd, at 7:30 PM in Max Ziel Gymnasium for their first conference match-up of the season.
