Women’s Soccer Defeats Nazareth, 4-1
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT senior forward Rachel Marriott led the Tigers with a pair of goals and recording an assist in a 4-1 win over Nazareth, Tuesday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Junior forward Elena Onodera put RIT on the board first, scoring for the Tigers in the 9th minute.
- Three minutes before Marriott scored, her second of the season, to make it a quick 2-0 lead.
- In the 28th minute, Marriott would find the back of the net with assists from senior midfielders Olivia Harris and Jessie Gomez.
- First-year midfielder Emma Watsonscored her first career goal for the Tigers in the 43rd minute to round out the scoring for RIT.
- Nazareth’s Haley Glassman put the Golden Flyers on the board with a goal in the 56th minute.
GAME NOTES
- With the goal, Onodera has a team-high 14 points (5 goals, 4 assists) through nine games this season.
- Harris had three assists in the win and leads the team this season with five assists.
- RIT out-shot Nazareth 13 to 6, putting seven shots on goal.
