Men’s Basketball loses 76-60 at St. Lawrence
CANTON, N.Y. – RIT senior forward Kenny Wilburn and first year guard Brody Browneach scored 15 points in the Tigers 76-60 loss at St. Lawrence, Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- St. Lawrence’s Andrew Cowan capped off a 7-0 Saints run to begin the game with a bucket inside the first three minutes of the opening half.
- Junior guard Brock Bowen hit a three-pointer on the Tiger’s next possession to get RIT on the board.
- Brown hit a three-pointer with 9:01 to play to cut the St. Lawrence lead to 20-12.
- Junior forward Josiah Turner scored with 30 seconds to play to cut the Saints’ lead to 40-24 at the intermission.
- Brown hit a three-pointer with 16:19 remaining in the second half to cut the Tiger’s deficit to 16 points.
- Wilburn scored midway through in the half off an assist from junior guard Chase Dickens to cut the lead to 62-44.
- First year Nolan Smith scored two straight buckets inside the final two minutes, and Brayden Shepardson hit a three-pointer to make it a 76-60 final.
GAME NOTES
- RIT shot 26-of-58 from the floor, including seven three pointers
- St. Lawrence held a 37-33 rebounding advantage
- Turner finished with 10 points and 12 rebounds for his third straight double-double
