Dallas Center Grimes Mustangs wins contest against Tigers on Wednesday, 4-1

Dallas Center Grimes Mustangs fired up the offense in the second inning, when Tate Perrin’s sac fly scored one run for Dallas Center Grimes Mustangs.

In the bottom of the third inning, Tigers tied things up at one. Tigers scored one run when Braxton Shaffer singled.

Dallas Center Grimes Mustangs pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Perrin’s sac fly scored two runs for Dallas Center Grimes Mustangs and Taitn Gray grounded out, scoring one run.

Keaton Fenn led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Dallas Center Grimes Mustangs. The righty went four innings, allowing one run on six hits and striking out seven.

Shaffer toed the rubber for Tigers. The pitcher allowed four hits and four runs over five and a third innings, striking out eight. Kamdon Harms threw one and two-thirds innings in relief.

Logan Young led Dallas Center Grimes Mustangs with two hits in two at bats. Dallas Center Grimes Mustangs didn’t commit a single error in the field. Gray had the most chances in the field with 11.

Carson Penyich went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Tigers in hits.
