Brockport Varsity Blue Devils seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game to topple Batavia. The game was tied at three with Brockport Varsity Blue Devils batting in the bottom of the seventh when David D’Ambrosia singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
Brockport Varsity Blue Devils got things started in the first inning when Brayden Scaccia’s sac fly scored one run for Brockport Varsity Blue Devils.
Andrew Wilson was on the hill for Brockport Varsity Blue Devils. The righty went six and a third innings, allowing three runs on seven hits, striking out seven and walking one.
William (Dane) Dombrowski led things off on the hill for Batavia. The bulldog surrendered three runs on five hits over four innings, striking out three and walking one. Sawyer Siverling and Trevor Cole entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and one inning respectively.
D’Ambrosia led Brockport Varsity Blue Devils with two hits in three at bats.
Batavia tallied seven hits on the day. Cole Grazioplene and Evan Alexander each had multiple hits for Batavia.
