Aquinas Institute Li’l Irish Varsity built a five-run lead in the sixth inning and then held off Canandaigua Academy’s charge for a 6-4 victory on Thursday. Canandaigua Academy scored three runs in the failed comeback on a groundout by Cole Harris, a groundout by Jack Clark, and a single by Matthew Pawlicki.
Aquinas Institute Li’l Irish Varsity earned the victory despite allowing Canandaigua Academy to score three runs in the seventh inning. Canandaigua Academy big bats were led by Harris, Clark, and Pawlicki, who all drove in runs.
