Ryan Maxwell didn’t allow a single run against Pittsford Sutherland, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Brockport Varsity Blue Devils to a 2-0 victory on Tuesday
The pitching was strong on both sides. Maxwell struck out 12, while Colin MacLean sat down five.
A single by Jack Armanini in the seventh inning was a positive for Pittsford Sutherland.
Maxwell led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Brockport Varsity Blue Devils. The righthander lasted seven innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out 12.
MacLean was on the mound for Pittsford Sutherland. The pitcher lasted six innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out five.
David D’Ambrosia went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Brockport Varsity Blue Devils in hits. Brockport Varsity Blue Devils was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Zack Richards had the most chances in the field with nine.
Armanini led Pittsford Sutherland with one hit in two at bats.
