Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey defeated School of the Arts 7-1 on Wednesday thanks to a timely four runs in a big third inning. James Schlueter, Dereck Colon, and Josh Tantalo each drove in runs during the inning.

Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey fired up the offense in the first inning. Alex Frisone grounded out, scoring one run.

Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey notched four runs in the third inning. Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey’s offense in the inning came from doubles by Schlueter and Colon and a single by Tantalo.

Angelo Ubal earned the win for Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey. The righty went six innings, allowing one run on six hits and striking out five. Tyler Ashton threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Bennie Laver took the loss for School of the Arts. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing eight hits and seven runs while striking out two.

Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey had ten hits in the game. Ty Van Epps, Colon, and Tantalo each racked up multiple hits for Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey. Van Epps went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey in hits.

School of the Arts didn’t commit a single error in the field. Pedro Lebron had six chances in the field, the most on the team.
