franklin girls basketball team

this is a great story coach Chris bianchi worked his tail off to get girls basketball started at franklin high school this season rounded up 28 girls they have not had girls varsity team in 10 years no one has ever played any high school basketball until this year a lot of these girls come from different back rounds different home environments coach Chris was teaching the game and life lessons thru the game of basketball lessons how to work together how to work hard how to be great teammates also how to handle adversity on and off the court even though the results were not shown on the court they major improvements thru out the season i went a interview all the girls was very impressed with how hard they worked and coachable they were they were learning the game from scratch they won 1 game this year but the girls have a set a tone for building the program and had fun. 10 of the girls made high honor role in school too
