Men’s Soccer Rallies Late for 3-3 Draw Against Elmira
ELMIRA, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University men’s soccer team battled back from a two-goal deficit to earn a 3-3 draw against Elmira on Saturday afternoon at Campus Field.
How It Happened
- Elmira struck first in the 5th minute when Aadne Aarstad finished off a pass from Daniel Mercedes.
- Fisher answered in the 14th minute as Jack Tamburino scored his first goal of the 2025 season, with an assist from Liam Furmansky.
- The Soaring Eagles regained the lead in the 39th minute when Valentino Aguilera found the back of the net, with Luka Tatanashvili providing the assist.
- Elmira extended its advantage to 3-1 in the 59th minute on a goal by Pietro Gallina.
- Fisher stormed back late: Collin Gannon cut the deficit to one in the 79th minute, then set up Jeremiah Strader less than two minutes later for the equalizer.
