Freshman Alexander Kobayashi Notches First Career Goal as Nazareth Cruises Past SUNY ESF, 6–0
POTSDAM, NY – The Nazareth men’s soccer team carried the game versus SUNY ESF in the Potsdam Tournament with a 6-0 win.
How it Happened:
- In the first half, The Golden Flyers carried the pace of play generating 17 shots and holding The Mighty Oaks to 0.
- At 14:52, Jack Lannon scored the first goal of the game, unassisted, making that his first goal of the season.
- At 20:21, Spencer Neil scored Nazareth’s second goal, making that his first of the season, and was assisted by Joey Weaver and Sam Romanosky.
- In the second half at 48:33, Spencer Neilscored the third goal of the game unassisted, marking his second goal of the game.
- At 60:30, Gibson Spector scored the fourth goal of the game, unassisted.
- At 80:08, Tommy Gillett scored his first goal of the season, assisted by Robert Weitzman.
- At 85:38, freshman Alexander Kobayashi scored his first collegiate goal, increasing the Nazareth lead to 6.
- Nazareth finished out the game with 6 goals and 35 shots.
