Derrick Allen Leads UBL Sawx Past UBL Pale Hose
Derrick Allen was dominant on the mound, as the starting pitcher rang up 10 strikeouts in UBL Sawx’s 6-0 victory over UBL Pale Hose on Monday. Allen allowed two hits and zero runs over six innings while walking two.
UBL Sawx scored four runs in the fourth inning on the way to victory. Evan Cuba singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and M Amgle grounded out, scoring two runs.
Mathew Gross stepped on the mound first for UBL Pale Hose. They gave up three hits and four runs (one earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out four and walking two. Cuba appeared in relief for UBL Sawx.
Tyler Gentzke, UBL Sawx’s number eight hitter, led the team with two hits in three at-bats. Cuba, Gentzke, Joshua Winter, and Amgle each drove in one run for UBL Sawx. UBL Sawx were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Allen had the most chances in the field with two.
