Coach Johnson has impacted so many young people lives for over 35 years as the head coach he turned loseing programs into winning programs he led olyimpia basketball to many sectional semi finals appearances and came to athena in 1996 as the leader for 20 years he had .430 career wins won 6 sectional titles 6 state tourney appearances led athena to the 2015 state title game over 12 disvsion titles he’s been apart of many of his players going on and played in college at all college levels and succeeded at the college levels also currently has a player playing for the golden state warriors anthony lamb and his other great divsion 1 player demand stewart played pro overseas.
he’s produced many of his former assistant coaches and former players that have become great head coaches his coaching tree has grown very large names such as mile Setzer who’s led athena to 4 sectional finals in his 7 years 3 divsion titles mike grossdoina the former player at olyimpia led Aquinas to 5 state final four appearances a state championship in 2016 has led fisher college to 2 empire 8 titles 2 ncaa apperences and also demand Stewart led uprep to 2019 sectional titles troy prince who’s led hilton to 3 divsion titles 1 sectional final appearances joe tisa led Olympia to semis last year been head coach for 8 years mark shaller who’s been the head coach at eastridge brockport now modfied at irondeqoit and also mike butler who’s led his teams all sports coaching high school to 12 sectional titles .
