Women’s Basketball rallies past St. Lawrence, 68-60

ROCHESTER N.Y. – Three players scored 14 points to help the Tigers rally past St. Lawrence at home, 68-60, Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- RIT had an explosive start to the game, scoring nine unanswered points.
- St. Lawrence fought back to a short-lived one-point lead with 1:40 left in the first quarter before the Tigers responded with a 5-0 run, capped off with a three-pointer from senior guard Hannah Durand to end the first quarter with a 23-17 lead.
- Both teams fought head-to-head for most of the second quarter before St. Lawrence pulled away with an 8-0 run late in the half, putting the visitors up one going into the break, 36-35.
- Despite trading blows, St. Lawrence made several three-pointers to inch them farther from RIT, going up as much as nine with 4:26 left in the quarter.
- Five quick points from the Tigers put RIT within two points going into the final quarter, 55-53.
- The Tigers continued their momentum into the fourth quarter, outpacing St. Lawrence 9-2. RIT maintained a steady lead for the rest of the game by making crucial free throws in the final minute from first-year forward Ben Kayser-Cochran to seal the win, 68-60.

- Senior guard Hannah Durand had a team-high 14 points shooting 6/6 from the field and 2/2 from three.
- Senior guard Maddy Ramsgard had her first double-double of the season with a team-high 14 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists.
- First-year forward Ben Kayser-Cochranhad a team-high 14 points.
- Sophomore forward Faye Kaplinski had eight points, nine rebounds, and three blocks.
- The win puts RIT at 9-7 overall while improving to 7-2 in the Liberty League.
