Moravec Twins Lead Fisher Past Elmira
PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Twin sisters Katie and Kelly Moravec combined to score 40 points as the St. John Fisher University women’s basketball team won its eighth straight game on Saturday afternoon, 79-63 over Elmira College.
The Cardinals improved to 13-4 overall and remained unbeaten (8-0) in the Empire 8, while the soaring Eagles dropped to 7-10 overall and 1-7 in the conference. Fisher has won 21 straight games against Elmira, a streak that began in January 2014.
Katie Moravec led the Cardinals with 23 points while shooting 6 of 12 overall (1-1 from three) and 10 of 10 from the free-throw line. Kelly Moravec had 17 points and shot 5 of 10 overall and 7 of 10 from the line.
Sidney Tomasso recorded another double-double – her sixth of the season – with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Senior guard Sidney Tomassorecorded her fifth double-double of the season with 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead the St. John Fisher women’s basketball team to a 76-47 victory over Keuka College on Friday night at Manning and Napier Varsity Gym.
The Cardinals (12-4 overall) remained unbeaten (7-0) in Empire 8 Conference play and won their 12 straight game against Keuka. The Wolves, winless (0-7) in the conference, dropped to 5-11 overall.

How It Happened
- The Cardinals never led by more than three points in the first half until the end of it, as they went on a 10-0 run over the final 2:23 to take a 30-20 lead into halftime. Senior guard Emily McLaughlin led Fisher with five points and knocked down a deep 3-point shot at the buzzer during that quick charge.
- Keuka stayed within six to nine points early in the second half before the Cardinals went on another sustained run to take control. The Cardinals out outscored the Wolves 14-2 over about four minutes in the third quarter en route to a 49-28 lead, their largest of the game to that point.
- Tomasso scored nine of her points in the third and 12 overall in the second half.
