Syracuse, N.Y. – Le Moyne College head baseball coach Scott Cassidy ’98 announced on Wednesday afternoon that six student-athletes have signed Letters of Intent to attend Le Moyne and play for the Dolphins in 2026. The class consists of outfielders Luke Beckerand Nick Kriegelstein, infielder Isaac Brozon, right-handed pitchers Jack Molini and Luke VanMarter and left-handed pitcher Connor Usowski.

“I am very excited about this incoming class,” said Cassidy. “They will bring a little speed and power offensively as well as a few very good arms to bolster our pitching staff. They will be great additions to our team and we are very much looking forward to having them on the Heights soon!”

Luke Becker – OF – Liverpool, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy-Syracuse
Becker is the fourth-ranked outfielder and 29th-ranked player overall in New York State in the 2025 class, according to Prep Baseball Report (PBR). During the 2023 summer, he represented Team New York during the PBR Futures Game.

Cassidy on Becker: “Luke is an exciting player. He can cover a ton of ground in the outfield with plus speed and has a great arm as well. Offensively, he can spray the ball to all fields with some extra base power and can make things happen on the bases. He is the type of player that can have a great impact on a lineup both offensively and defensively”.

Isaac Brozon – INF – Aurora, N.Y./Southern Cayuga
Brozon has had a great high school career. In his junior year, he hit .565 with four home runs, 25 RBI and 10 stolen bases. His OPS was an incredible 1.680. His production led him to being named Team MVP, first team all-league and first team all-county for the third consecutive year.

Cassidy on Brozon: “I really like Isaac. He is a physical kid that can play anywhere in the infield and probably the outfield as well. He has good speed and can hit for power. I think he has really good bat to ball skills that will help him transition to college baseball”.

Nick Kriegelstein – OF – Farmington, N.Y./Victor
Kriegelstein had a great high school season, hitting .432 with 23 runs scored and 10 extra base hits. He was named first team all-league, First Team Monroe County Public School Athletic Conference and Section V AA Top 10 Players. He didn’t slow down in the summer, hitting .439.

Cassidy on Kriegelstein: “Nick is a baseball player. He really impressed me with his ability to roam the outfield and his strong arm. Combine that with his ability to get on base and steal makes him a dangerous offensive threat. I’m looking forward to seeing what he will do at the collegiate level.”

Jack Molini – RHP – Mastic, N.Y./William Floyd
Molini put together one of the more impressive seasons both in high school and Summer. He finished his junior season with a 6-1 record with 61 Strikeouts in 46 innings of work leading to a 1.51 ERA. He was named League 1 MVP, all-county and Second Team All-Long Island. He followed up his high school season with a 5-0 record in the summer with a 1.84 ERA.

Cassidy on Molini: “Jack is a big, strong kid who can really pitch. He was a two-way guy in high school but will see his collegiate time on the mound. I love his ability to attack hitters and pump strikes. He should have an immediate impact on our pitching staff right away.”

Connor Usowski – LHP – Auburn, N.Y./Port Byron
Usowski has put together a remarkable high school career. As a junior, he pitched 58 Innings with an ERA of 1.95 and an astounding 135 Strikeouts with just 22 walks. During the season, he surpassed the 300 career strikeout mark with eyes on 400 this coming season. With his performance, he was named a CNY Small School All-Star and first team all-league for the second time.

Cassidy on Usowski: “Connor is a guy who will come right after you. He has had such tremendous success at the high school level and we anticipate that continuing in college. He has the ability to pitch in the big games as well and that will help him make the transition to college baseball.”

Luke VanMarter- RHP- Jamesville, NY- Jamesville- Dewitt
VanMarter built on his impressive freshman and sophomore seasons with a stellar junior year. He finished the season with 55 Innings pitched with 89 strikeouts and a 2.60 ERA. He was named First Team All-SCAC, First Team All-CNY and SCAC Pitcher of the Year.

Cassidy on VanMarter: “Luke is a pitcher. He has been a guy that pounds the zone with multiple pitches and has had a tremendous high school career. A true big-game pitcher who has the chance to be a front line starter at the college level. He should be an immediate impact guy as well.”

The Dolphins return 19 letterwinners, including four starting position players and two starting pitchers, from last year’s 22-27-1 squad. The Dolphins open the 2025 season in mid-February.
