DANVILLE, I.L. – The Monroe Community College Tribunes looked to continue their great season with a win over the Iowa Lakes Community College Lakers. The Lakers are a high-scoring team, and the Tribunes are a great defense team, let’s see how this one played out. The leading scoring for the Tribunes was Terrell Williams as he poured in 15 of his 19 points in the first half. Williams would lead the Tribunes in steals with 4 as he tried to turn defense into offense and provide a spark for MCC. 

The Tribunes went into the halftime break down 11 and they knew it would be an uphill battle until the final whistle. Ibrahima Bah scored 10 points in the second half as he played all 17 of his minutes in this half as well. Omar White continued to be a bright spot this tournament as he scored 6 points and grabbed 3 rebounds. The Tribunes were not able to get a win in this one, falling 78-60 to the Lakers. 

The MCC Tribunes finished the season with a record of 25-8. This was a great season for the Tribunes as they were undefeated on their home court. MCC captured their 13th Region III title this season, which is a new record for the region. Also, they won a game in Danville, Illinois for the first time since 2016. Overall, the Tribunes had a great season and finished it with many records.
