Redhawks Can’t Overcome Saint Michael’s
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University men’s basketball team overcame an 11-point first half deficit to pull in front of visiting Saint Michael’s College on Saturday afternoon, but the visiting Purple Knights outscored the Redhawks 39-26 down the stretch to earn a 75-62 non-conference victory at the Voller Athletic Center.
Senior Malik Brooks drilled a three-point shot with 17:26 to play to give Roberts a 37-36 lead rallied to win its seventh straight game.
Brooks led the Redhawks (2-6) with 17 points.
Junior Isaiah Elmore added 12 points and 13 rebounds and junior Anastasios Zetos contributed 11 points.
Roberts has two non-conference home games next week before the semester break. The Redhawks host Mansfield University at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Felician University at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
