EDINBORO, PA. – Edinboro used a 19-8 run over the final six minutes to defeat the Roberts Wesleyan University men’s basketball team 87-80 in a non-conference game on Tuesday night.
Senior guard Malik Brooks eclipsed the 25-point plateau for the fourth time in five games and led the Redhawks (1-4) with 27 points. Brooks, who is averaging 23.8 points per game this season, added 3 assists and 3 steals.
Sophomore guard Ryan Hudson made all four of this three-point attempts and set career highs with 17 points and 7 rebounds Marlon Pratt Jr. contributed 11 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists for Roberts.
The Redhawks shot 55.9% in the first half, including 75% from three-point range (6 for 8), but cooled off in the second half making just 34.4% of their shots, including 2 of 12 from beyond the arc.
The Redhawks are off over the Thanksgiving weekend and open East Coast Conference play at 8 p.m. next Wednesday against D’Youville in the Voller Athletic Center.
