Rochester Brewers 14U lost to Futures 14U 4-0 on Friday.
Futures 14U got on the board in the top of the fourth inning after Cael Bruce singled, scoring one run, Dalton Loguidice drew a walk, scoring one run, and Tyler Huson singled, scoring two runs.
Gavin Foy earned the win for Futures 14U. The righty allowed four hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out seven and walking two. Ty Allyn took the loss for Rochester Brewers 14U. The righty went three and one-third innings, giving up four runs on four hits, striking out three and walking seven.
Hudson Lazenby, Cole Harris, Allyn, and Jackson Forney each collected one hit for Rochester Brewers 14U. Rochester Brewers 14U turned one double play in the game. Rochester Brewers 14U were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Andrew McManus had the most chances in the field with six.
Bruce went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Futures 14U in hits. Huson went 1-for-3 at the plate as the left-handed hitter led the team with two runs batted in. Futures 14U had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating nine walks for the game. Cooper Smith and Loguidice led the team with two bases on balls each.
