Brockport Varsity Blue Devils Takes the Win Over Greece Arcadia Game changer recap below

Brockport Varsity Blue Devils beat Greece Arcadia 7-2 on Wednesday.

Greece Arcadia got on the board in the first inning when Jathniel Martinez singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Brockport Varsity Blue Devils pulled away for good with five runs in the third inning. In the third Dominic Zona induced David D’Ambrosia to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, Owen Cummings singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Kaeden Laureano singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, and Zack Richards singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Ryan Maxwell led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Brockport Varsity Blue Devils. The righthander went five and a third innings, allowing two runs on six hits, striking out 13 and walking one.

Zona started the game for Greece Arcadia. Zona lasted five innings, allowing ten hits and seven runs while striking out one and walking one. Parker Drees threw one inning out of the bullpen.

Brockport Varsity Blue Devils totaled 11 hits. Brayden Scaccia, Maxwell, Andrew Wilson, Laureano, and Cummings all collected multiple hits for Brockport Varsity Blue Devils. Cummings, Laureano, Wilson, Maxwell, and Scaccia all had two hits to lead Brockport Varsity Blue Devils. Brockport Varsity Blue Devils didn’t commit a single error in the field. Richards had 15 chances in the field, the most on the team.

Greece Arcadia tallied six hits. Martinez and Zona each collected multiple hits for Greece Arcadia.
