CARDINAL’S SEASON ENDS AGAINST NO. 1 JOHNS HOPKINSBALTIMORE, MD – The St. John Fisher University baseball team traveled to Johns Hopkins University, in Baltimore, MD, for day three of the NCAA Regionals. The Cardinal’s final game saw the team take on #1 Johns Hopkins University. An early three-run bottom of the third, from the Blue Jays, led to the Cardinals falling, 2-8. CARDINALS COMEBACK IN REGIONAL GAMES TO ADVANCE TO CHAMPIONSHIPBALTIMORE, MD – The St. John Fisher University baseball team is at Johns Hopkins University, in Baltimore, MD, for day two of the NCAA Regionals. The Cardinal’s second game saw Fisher take on Penn State Altoona. A ninth inning grand slam by Brian Norsen pushed the Cardinals to a seven run inning, coming back and winning 10-4. In their third game, a six-run eighth inning, plus a walk-off single, helped push the Cardinals to a 10-9 victory. NO. 19 WOMEN’S LACROSSE FALL TO WILLIAM SMITH IN THIRD ROUND MATCH UPGENEVA, NY. – The St. John Fisher University no. 19 women’s lacrosse team competed against no. 3 William Smith College in Geneva, NY on Saturday afternoon in the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament. At the end of regulation, the Cardinals took defeat by a 6-5 final score.
