WC Bears Varsity got things moving in the first inning, when Alex Smith tripled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
A single by Asher Katakis in the third inning was a positive for Central Indians.
Kates got the win for WC Bears Varsity. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on three hits over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one.
Aiden Wheeler was on the mound for Central Indians. Wheeler lasted four and a third innings, allowing eight hits and seven runs while striking out five. Owen Foster threw two and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.
WC Bears Varsity had nine hits in the game. Kates and Leo Henderson each racked up multiple hits for WC Bears Varsity. Henderson and Kates each collected two hits to lead WC Bears Varsity.
