Nazareth men’s soccer wins a dog fight 2-1 recap from Nazareth athletics website below

The Golden Flyers improved their record to 3-1 with a win against Allegheny College

ROCHESTER, NY–  Nazareth defeated Allegheny college at Golden Flyer Stadium this afternoon with a score of 2-1. The Golden Flyers now have a 3-1 record.

Jake Pawlika and Drew Decker were the goal-scorers for Naz.

The Golden Flyers made the first move just eight minutes into the game with a goal by Jake Pawlika from Drew Decker. The play was started with an aggressive tackle by Joey Weaver to set up the shot.

Allegheny was able to even the score with a tough goal off a rebound with just over three minutes left in the half.

Five minutes into the second half, Decker scored a goal placed in the top right of the net after beating multiple defenders.

A few saves and a few missed chances from both sides, allowed the score to remain 2-1 in favor of the Golden Flyers until time expired.

Logan Menna had a total of five saves. The Golden Flyers recorded a total of four corner kicks and 16 shots.

The Golden Flyers will travel to Fredonia on September 17th for a 7 p.m. match against Fredonia.
