Brockport, NY – Earlier this week, United Soccer Coaches announced the 2023 NCAA Division III All-Region III teams. Brockport had two players recognized in Russ Domm (1st-Team) and Andrew Taylor (2nd-Team).
Russ Domm has now earned 1st-Team All-Region and All-SUNYAC honors following a successful 2023 junior campaign. Domm constantly came through in the clutch for the Golden Eagles, with two of his six goals serving as game-winners for Brockport. Domm led the way for Brockport in goals (6), assists (3), points (15), and shots on goals (20). He is now a two-time All-Region 1st-Team selection, earning the honor last year as well.
Andrew Taylor adds a 2nd-Team All-Region selection after bringing home the Fred Halloway Co-Defensive Player of the Award following an excellent season between the pipes for the Golden Eagles. He was also recognized as 1st-Team All-SUNYAC in 2023. Taylor started 16 games for Brockport, recording shutouts in six games and posting an 8-3-5 record as a starter. Taylor totaled 70 saves on the season, good for second-best in the conference to go with a 0.88 goals-against average.
The Golden Eagles finished the year 9-3-5 overall and 6-0-3 in the SUNYAC. Their postseason run was halted in the SUNYAC Semifinals, falling to a nationally-ranked Oneonta team 1-0.
