UBL Bucs Roll Past UBL Bombers

UBL Bucs easily dispatched UBL Bombers on Thursday, 17-8.

UBL Bombers got on the board in the top of the fourth inning after Sam Nick singled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run.

UBL Bucs flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring seven runs on four hits to take a 7-3 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a fielder’s choice by Fred Ferrer that drove in two.

UBL Bucs scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. An error scored one run, Chase Sullivan singled, scoring two runs, Nathan Scozzaro singled, scoring one run, and Iwan Taylor-Casamayor drew a walk, scoring one run.

Ferrer began the game for UBL Bucs. They allowed four hits and three runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking none. Brody Swan stepped on the mound first for UBL Bombers. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and six runs over three and one-third innings, striking out two and walking two. Maddox Stoughton pitched three innings of shutout ball for UBL Bucs in relief. They allowed one hit, striking out three and walking one.

Ryan Galle and Sullivan each collected two hits for UBL Bucs. Galle, Ferrer, Scozzaro, Sullivan, and Taylor-Casamayor each drove in two runs for UBL Bucs.
