Reece Totedo Leads Rochester Brewers 14U Past Fieldhouse Pirates 14U Gold

Reece Totedo collected four hits in four at bats, as Rochester Brewers 14U defeated Fieldhouse Pirates 14U Gold 13-3 on Saturday. Totedo doubled in the sixth inning, singled in the first inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the fifth inning.

Rochester Brewers 14U jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Andrew McManus singled, scoring one run, Ty Allyn singled, scoring two runs, Jaylen Givens grounded out, scoring one run, and Hudson Lazenby hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

A double by Cole Harris extended the Rochester Brewers 14U lead to 7-0 in the top of the second inning.

Rochester Brewers 14U scored six runs on three hits in the top of the sixth inning. Charlie Kendall was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Jackson Forney singled, scoring one run, Totedo doubled, scoring two runs, McManus drew a walk, scoring one run, and Allyn drew a walk, scoring one run.

Harris earned the win for Rochester Brewers 14U. The starting pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out one and walking two. Noah Gressell pitched three innings in relief for Rochester Brewers 14U. The right-handed pitcher gave up seven hits and three runs while, striking out none and walking two. Peyton Markwood took the loss for Fieldhouse Pirates 14U Gold. The starting pitcher went five innings, giving up seven runs on 10 hits, striking out two and walking two. Kendall collected the save.

Rochester Brewers 14U tallied 13 hits in the game. Allyn drove the middle of the lineup, leading Rochester Brewers 14U with three runs batted in. They went 2-for-3 on the day. Forney and Harris each collected multiple hits for Rochester Brewers 14U. Adi Rahbari led Rochester Brewers 14U with two walks. A fielder’s choice by Trent Campbell put FCP 14U on the board in the bottom of the second.

FCP 14U scored five runs on six hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Shawn Scott singled, scoring one run, Campbell tripled, scoring two runs, John Meka Jr singled, scoring one run, and Erik Huggler Canfield singled, scoring one run.

Evan Noecker earned the win for FCP 14U. The righty surrendered one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out one and walking none. Charlie Kendall took the loss for Rochester Brewers 14U. They went four innings, surrendering five runs (two earned) on eight hits, striking out none and walking one. Scott earned the save.

Andrew McManus and Noah Gressell each collected one hit for Rochester Brewers 14U.

FCP 14U accumulated 14 hits in the game. Dominic Bernardone led FCP 14U with three hits in three at bats. Campbell seized on their opportunities, leading FCP 14U with three runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Blake Suitor and Dylan Noecker each collected multiple hits for FCP 14U. FCP 14U were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Scott had the most chances in the field with one.
