Brynn king another scho record broken at Roberts

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The honors continue to roll in for Roberts Wesleyan University pole vaulter Brynn King.
King, a fifth-year student from The Woodlands, Texas, was named the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association’s M-F Athletic NCAA Division II Women’s Athlete of the Week after setting a DII record for the second consecutive week. She is the only Roberts athlete to earn this honor and the first back-to-back winner of the award since Carly Muscaro of Merrimack in 2017.
King cleared 4.42 meters (14-feet, 6-inches) at the Nazareth Alumni Classic at the Golisano Training Center on Friday, besting her own mark of 14-5½ set a week before in Akron, Ohio.
A Duke University transfer, King has also won the East Coast Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Field Athlete of the Week the past two weeks. King is coached at Roberts by 2012 Olympic gold medalist and Roberts alum Jenn Suhr. King’s mark of 4.42 meters is the second-best in all of the NCAA this season, trailing only Chloe Timberg of Rutgers (4.47 meters).
The Redhawks Indoor Track and Field program is on semester break and will return to action at the Brockport Invitational on Jan. 20.
